History & Tradition: Strogylolia, or "Galani" (Azure) as the locals used to call it due to the silvery hue of its leaves, has been an integral part of the agricultural landscape of Chalkidiki for centuries. Its roots are lost in time, as it served as the primary source of olive oil for the families of Vrastama, supporting the local economy through difficult times. Its survival to this day is due to the respect of older producers, who chose it for its stability and its ability to produce an oil that could withstand the passage of time.
